I AFOMUC Piano Performance Competition (El Campello) 2026


AFOMUC announces its 2026 Piano Competition, open to students in both Professional and Higher Education Grades. The winner of the Higher and Professional category will be awarded a guaranteed professional recording and a solo concert. The event will take place on July 10th and 11th.

🎤📀 Special Prize (only for 1st Prize, Senior and Professional category):
A professional recording session and a concert engagement organized by AFOMUC.

All prizes are subject to the applicable Spanish tax legislation. Where legally required, the Association shall apply the relevant tax withholdings or payments on account in accordance with Spanish law. Accordingly, the net amount received by each prize winner may be lower than the published gross prize amount.


The participation fee is €50, payable via bank transfer to the following account:

✔ Attachment: Please attach the proof of payment (€50).

Confirmation of entry will be sent via email upon receipt of payment.


Course + Competition:

If you have already registered via the AFOMUC Piano Course form and paid the associated fee, no further action is required. You do not need to re-register or resubmit documentation for the competition. However, please ensure that you include your competition repertoire within your initial course/competition enrollment email.

  • Schedule The competition will take place on July 10th (Preliminary Round) and July 11th (Final Round & Awards Ceremony).
  • Professional Category:
    • Eligibility: Open to pianists who have not reached the age of 17 by the start date of the course.
    • The Preliminary Round will consist of a free-choice program with a maximum duration of 10 minutes, including works from at least two different musical styles.
    • Final Round: A free-choice program (max. 15 minutes) including works from at least two different musical styles.
  • Senior Category:
    • Eligibility: No age limit.
    • The Preliminary Round will consist of a free-choice program with a maximum duration of 15 minutes, including works from at least two different musical styles.
    • The Final Round will consist of a free-choice program with a maximum duration of 35 minutes, including works from at least two different musical styles.
  • Performance Requirements
    • Memory: All works composed before 1950 must be performed from memory.
    • Repeats: Works must be performed without repeats. For specific exceptions, please consult the organization at afomuc@gmail.com. afomuc@gmail.com)
    • Program: Pieces performed in the Preliminary Round may not be repeated in the Final Round.
    • Participants are restricted to a single category entry.
  • Jury & Awards
    • The prizes may be awarded ex aequo if the judging panel so decides, in which case the corresponding prize money shall be divided equally among the winners. The judging panel also reserves the right to withhold any prize if it considers that no entry merits the award.
    • Special Distinctions: The jury may award Honorable Mentions or special distinctions for the performance of specific composers or styles. These distinctions do not carry a cash prize.
    • Jury Composition: The jury will consist of the course faculty.
